What's your show about?
'War of the Sperms' is a bizarre, rude and ridiculous comedy that follows the tales of nine sperms through Sperm Training School before they depart into The Great Sperm Race.
Have you been to Edinburgh before?
This is Irstead Theatre's debut at the fringe, many of our members have been before but as a company, this is our first time.
What's the process of bringing a show to Edinburgh like?
The process of taking a play to Edinburgh has been, what I'd call, a crash course in discovering what it's like to properly work within the performing arts industry. It's challenging, stressful and you're always left with a feeling of, have I forgotten to do something, do i need to send more e-mails, should I have ordered more flyers etc but overall, it's an experience and I feel like, once you've done it once, it can only get easier the next time you do it.
What do you plan to do with any free time you have during the Fringe?
During our free time at the fringe, we plan to, like nearly everyone else, to see as many shows as possible, experience the culture, the food, climb up Arthur's seat, get a Macaroni and cheese pie, drink lots of Irn Bru, the usual touristy stuff.
